October 4th, 2010
The EVS department at Baton Rouge General - Mid City in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, received the Service Pillar Award for FY 2010 for the most improved HCAHPS score, after increasing the department score by 13% since FY 2009-from 67 to 75-making it the most improved department score in the entire hospital system.
The award was presented at the annual BRG Leadership Retreat on Friday, August 20, 2010 to Randy Manno, HHS Director, at Mid City by the CEO of Baton Rouge General health System, Bill Holman.
"We will get to display our trophy in the department for the next 12 months," Manno explains. "At the next year's leadership meeting, if another department wins this title, we will have to present it to them. My plan is to present it to the EVS department at the Blue Bonnet campus next year."
