Member organizations contract with a variety of state agencies including: the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the Division of Services for the Blind, the Division of Social Services, and Workforce Development Boards. The NCARF award was presented Sept. 30 in Winston-Salem, NC.
The nomination for the award came after interaction and involvement with Haywood Regional's Environmental Services department and Director Jason Poole, said Laura Williams, Lead Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Specialist for North Carolina Rehabilitation Facilities.
