UCSD Medical Center's long-range plan is designed to create the world-class academic medical center that San Diegans deserve, while improving care today for all the patients we serve. Our commitment to provide exceptional patient care, including highly specialized services not generally available in community-based practices, supports research toward new treatments and cures for disease; and trains the practitioners of the future.

UCSD is fortunate to have two successful medical complexes today--on the UCSD campus and in Hillcrest--that provide convenient points of access to UCSD physicians and services for patients throughout the County, including those served at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Medical Center hospital, which is primarily staffed by UCSD faculty.
