Francis “Frank” Sweet, Culinary Director at Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah, has been selected to receive the hospital’s PEAKS Award for the quarter.

PEAKS stands for Performing Extraordinary Acts of Kindness and Service. The award is given quarterly to two individuals, one nursing and one non-nursing, who are nominated by their peers for going above and beyond in service to patients, colleagues, and the hospital community.

Under his leadership, presentation, consistency, and overall service delivery have strengthened, elevating both the patient and guest experience. Clear standards and steady leadership have driven meaningful results.

His nomination also highlighted his commitment to supporting hospital and community events. Frank consistently goes beyond daily operations to ensure events run smoothly and leave a strong impression. From thoughtful menu planning to polished food displays, his attention to detail reflects pride in his work and respect for the community he serves.

When asked which event led to the nomination, Frank said he was not sure and shared photos from several recent events. That response reflects the standard he sets. The same level of care shows up every time.
