Housekeeper Thanked by Six-Year-Old Patient

In Blacksburg, Virginia, Housekeeper Shelby Myers was cleaning in the ER when she noticed a young patient that looked uncomfortable. She took it upon herself to bring him a blanket and make sure he had what he needed to be as comfortable as possible.

The boy was so appreciative of Shelby’s thoughtful actions that he decided to color a picture for her in return for making him feel better. The six-year-old patient told the ER director that Shelby was really nice to him. Shelby was recognized for her excellent patient care in the daily nursing huddle.
