At HHS, our Training and Development (TTD) program is designed to be more than just a single course—it's a launchpad for every team member's unique career journey. While each path to success is different, the core of our TTD programs remains the same: empowering our people with the skills and confidence they need to thrive. Here are just a few of those inspiring stories from our team.

Caleb Johnson, an Environmental Services Director, brought extensive experience to HHS but chose to trust our processes, beginning with the EVS orientation program. His commitment to the training and its principles led to a remarkable jump in HCAHPS scores at his facility in just one month. For Caleb, the training was a powerful tool to cultivate a culture of accountability and passion.

Martina DiDia, a Culinary Assistant Director, found that the training she received was crucial for her promotion. It helped her seamlessly integrate her existing skills into the HHS framework, fostering a stronger leadership foundation. The true impact came from her ability to use the training to build stronger connections with clients. As a result, her team at St. Rita's is now viewed as an "integral part of the hospital's team," a testament to the training's power in strengthening relationships.

For David Helmon, an Assistant Environmental Services Director, the Greenville New Hire Orientation was a true "eye-opener". The program helped him develop a ton of leadership and team-building skills. The most valuable part of the training for him was the role-playing games, which gave him a realistic view of real-world scenarios. David’s story reminds us that being prepared and having an open mind can open doors you never knew existed.

Meanwhile, Amber Wilson embraced multiple paths to her success. After a promotion, she found that her management training in Greenville helped her feel "very knowledgeable" and confident in her new role. Additionally, her BLS training provided her with a valuable skill she could use both at work and in a personal emergency. Amber’s journey shows that investing in different types of training can build a diverse and powerful skill set.

Christina Ritter Cook, a Patient Services and Retail Manager, found that the training that prepared her for her move from EVS to CNS was "exciting". She noted that the training site in South Carolina is fast-paced and a "great jumping off point". For Christina, the most valuable part of the training was getting the hands-on experience and the chance to "make an impact". She advises others to "believe in your abilities and trust the process".

Whether it’s trusting the process to drive major results like Caleb, building stronger client connections like Martina, developing a diverse skill set like David and Amber, or making an impact with hands-on experience like Christina, our team members are using TTD to forge their paths to success.
