Dennis Bridges, an HHS team member in Atlanta, Texas, regularly goes above and beyond to care for his patients. In addition to working hard to provide high-quality floor care, Dennis is always ready to share a kind word and a friendly smile. The administration at his facility regularly receives positive feedback from patients and visitors regarding the excellent care he provides. Most recently, Administrator/Chief Nursing Officer William Micah Johnson received feedback from the family member of a patient about how Dennis went above and beyond to care for the patient, who was in  need of compassion.

Johnson shared: “Last week, I had a gentleman come to my office and explain what Dennis recently did.  He explained that his nephew was in the hospital after a car accident and, although he wasn’t badly injured, he was very shaken up.  Dennis noticed this and took it upon himself to create compassion. He went and purchased a card from the gift shop for the young man in an attempt to cheer him up.  The patient's uncle could barely get through the story because his emotions were so high, he did express that this simple card carried the weight of the world with it because it made an insurmountable difference in his nephew.  [I’d like to recognize Dennis] for his hard work, big heart, and compassionate spirit. Last week at leadership I spoke of our core values – dignity, integrity, compassion, excellence, and stewardship. Like most of us, Dennis embodies these values and applies them to his work and life."
