HHS & CNS Name George Levins President of Sales & Marketing

George Levins, President of Sales & MarketingHospital Housekeeping Systems (HHS) is proud to announce George Levins as our new President of Sales & Marketing for both HHS and our food service arm, Culinary & Nutrition Solutions (CNS).

Levins is a tenured health care executive, who has excelled in both food service sales and operations for more than 20 years. HHS’s unique company history, high-quality service, and family-owned culture were able to attract Levins to join HHS and assist us in accomplishing our growth goals.

Levins’ career in health care began in 1989, when he became a sales representative for Baxter Healthcare, and was quickly named “Rookie of the Year.”

Prior to joining HHS & CNS, Levins served as a Senior Vice President over a number of operational divisions for the Compass Group, including Canteen Dining, Morrison Healthcare and Morrison Senior Living, all nearly triple the size of HHS. In these positions, Levins oversaw 330 dining accounts, which generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue annually.

Most recently, Levins led the sales division of Horizon Software, the largest food service technology provider in the K-12, senior, and health care markets, setting new sales standards year-after-year.

Levins began working with HHS in October 2011, and successfully completed his first month of on-boarding at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston, Texas, and at South Fulton Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

“A common theme of my orientation was self-encouragement that, ‘I can definitely sell this.’”

Levins logged more than 360 hours over 30 days learning our core business first-hand, from stripping and waxing floors, to disinfecting an OR suite, to conducting patients satisfaction rounds and leading team safety meetings.

“The ‘S’ in HHS is powerful,” Levins said. “The opportunity to learn our ‘systems’ by physically performing them was tremendous; walking in the shoes of the associates who clean our hospitals and take care of our patients was an experience like no other.”

Levins is a former Marine Corps officer who served four years as a platoon commander and communications officer with the First Marine Division. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Levins currently resides in Alpharetta, Georgia, with his wife of 25 years, Mary Ann, and his two children, Savannah and Dillon.
