With a strong background in healthcare administration, Kurt Kepshire was recruited to HHS by EVS Director Erva Trotter in 2019. “I noticed Kurt had all the characteristics of an HHS executive. I recommended HHS and shared my career path and progression [with him],” Erva shared. Kurt was in search of an organization he could call home and where he could continue to grow in his career. He left his job as an associate hospital administrator and found just that at HHS. Kurt began as an assistant director for HHS before being promoted to lead assistant director and most recently to system director for an account in Arizona.

Kurt finds his greatest motivation in providing excellent patient care and reducing healthcare-associated infections in his hospital. Providing a safe and clean environment for patients and their loved ones is his top priority.

What do you like best about working for HHS?

“Working with dedicated team members from the United States and different parts of the world. This line of work is truly humbling and rewarding because of our team members. HHS is a diverse organization, which continues to grow and I look forward to being a part of that growth.”

What advice would you give your fellow team members?

“This job can be stressful and demanding. It's important to take pride in your work and strive every day to be a better team member than the day before. Take things one day at a time and don't let anyone affect your ability to succeed.”

Kurt has a close and supportive family including his parents and little sister. He enjoys spending time outside of work golfing, investing, and reading about history.
