HHS EVS Team Member Wins C.A.P.E. Award

The C.A.P.E (Cleaning to Advance the Patient Experience) Award, presented by Cintas, is an acknowledgment which “recognizes Environmental Services (EVS) technicians in healthcare facilities who are at the frontline of patient care providing clean and safe facilities for staff, patients and visitors across the country.” 

Hospitals across the country nominate EVS staff for the recognition, and out of nearly 500 nominations, eight winners were selected, including HHS EVS team member Lucia Minario.

Minario received a celebratory plaque and check for $2,500. Additionally, HCA Houston Healthcare SE CEO Jeanna Bamburg was presented with a $2,500 check which will go towards refreshing the EVS break room. 

As one of her peers stated, “Lucia always comes in with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.”
