HHS Culinary Team Serves Exceptional Meals to More Than Just Patients

The HHS culinary team at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center (SVRMC) in Emporia, VA was recognized in a recent article by Independent Messenger for their excellent service that extends beyond the walls of the hospital. As a result of the team’s delicious, quality food options, local residents, area workers, and outside guests frequently stop by the hospital cafeteria throughout the week to dine on the dishes created by the HHS culinary team.

Trula Hepner, HHS Culinary Director, reflects on her team’s hard work, “I am very proud of our culinary team here at SVRMC, they work tirelessly day in and day out to provide nutritious options not only for the hospital patients and staff, but for the community as well.”

The Emporia-Greensville Chamber of Commerce has its monthly luncheons at the hospital and the Emporia Rotary Club meets every Tuesday. The SVRMC kitchen staff prepares the meals for both organizations.
