Senior Living Chef Supports New Initiative

IMG_0378-1Chef Yaxaira Aviles recently traveled from her home facility in Harlingen, Texas to Birmingham, Alabama to support a new initiative at an HHS partner community. The community is implementing an all-day dining menu, and Chef Yaxaria has supported the team through the transition and provided guidance and leadership.

"Yaxaria did an awesome job, the residents were wowed."

Vice President Johnny Carino says of Chef Yaxaria, “As part of the HHS senior living team, she has been a vital part of openings and has led trainings in Indiana, Dallas, Houston, Arizona, and now Birmingham. She has helped train the staff at the community in Birmingham as we opened our first all-day dining restaurant concept. The response to the menu overall has been beyond positive, and the residents are thrilled with Chef Yaxaria’s desserts. They love what we have done after being very concerned about change. Yaxaria did an awesome job, the residents were wowed.”

Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, Chef Yaxaria has been with HHS since October 2017. She specializes in pastries and loves creating new desserts.
