Team Member Success Story: Tyler Jernigan

Tyler began working with HHS as a housekeeping supervisor at a resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in April 2018. He knew the role would be exciting but also challenging at times, but ultimately it would come down to properly managing and supporting a team. A few months after joining the company, Tyler was chosen for the pathway lighter program, which certifies HHS resorts team members to train new employees. In November 2018, just seven months after joining the company, Tyler was promoted to assistant director.

Tyler has a passion for housekeeping and has worked in the industry since 2013. He began his career as a houseman, then inspector, and supervisor, before being named assistant housekeeping manager. He also has experience in other areas of resort operations, including front desk, reservations, and maintenance. Originally from Darlington, South Carolina, Tyler lives in Myrtle Beach with his son and his dog.
