Building the Right Team

Recruit candidates who are not only result-oriented, but also exhibit personal values that reflect those of your organization. The foundation and cornerstone of every organization is its team members. That is why it is imperative to employ individuals who are committed to the advancement and success of the organization.  

Professional Development and Training

Invest in team members by providing ongoing education and development trainings, which can result in longevity and success.  HHS has achieved this through HHS University (HHSU), our online training portal that provides monthly educational modules to keep team members up-to-date on new protocols and best practices.  We also encourage our team to achieve their dreams by providing them the opportunity to apply for HHS scholarships to help continue their education, whether it be at a technical school, community college, or a four-year university.

Commit to do everything you can to ensure your team members are motivated and recognized for their efforts. At HHS, we have developed team member recognition programs, complete with built-in incentives for meeting safety goals and improving guest satisfaction scores, as well as recognition for those who go above and beyond the call of duty. We also take time to publicly recognize exceptional, diligent work during daily meetings and through special recognition on our company-wide podcasts and newsletters.

Collaborative Communication 

Engage all team members during regular team meetings designed to motivate and inspire, as well as to reinforce best practices, and to share new information. HHS’ daily team huddles review monthly objectives and other department initiatives to ensure all team members are working toward the same goals.  These meetings are also an opportunity for team members to share their ideas and concerns. By getting everyone involved, organizations can establish a culture of professional pride and service excellence.
